Week 17: 79 touchdowns, 2 ATDs
TB@NYJ: Corner cutter
On this goal line lunge, the Jets’ Braxton Berrios guides the ball inside the pylon and thus breaks the Great Invisible Plane, but he lands out of bounds and never makes contact with the end zone. We commend his effort, but in our view this is not a touchdown. Make it fourth-and-goal inside the 1. Hocus Bogus rating: 3

The Colts’ Jonathan Taylor breaks the plane, true enough, but never pushes past the Raiders’ defensive front and makes contact with the end zone. He finishes the play laying on top of a Raiders’ defender. So who should get credit for success on this play? Taylor for briefly entering the end zone’s airspace? Or the Las Vegas D for keeping Taylor away from paydirt, i.e., the end zone’s surface? To us, it’s the defense. Rating: 3
