Week 14: 91 touchdowns, 3 ATDs
NO@LAR: Barred from entry
If you really, really enjoy airspace touchdowns, here’s a gem. Jared Goff, in his fifth season with the Rams, makes a springboard leap, briefly pokes the end zone’s airspace, then promptly gets pushed backward. He thuds to the ground right on the line of scrimmage, short of the end zone he never touched, only waved at. Not our idea of a convincing touchdown. Hocus Bogus rating: 4.5

AZ@NYG: Barred from entry, part 2
Here we have another springboard leap into the line, this one by Arizona RB Kenyan Drake, and the result is almost identical to what Jared Goff (above) achieved — six points for going nowhere. Drake, in fact, gets pushed back even farther than Goff, but who cares? That blink of time he spent above the goal line after breaking the Great Invisible Plane is all that matters.
What a dreary, uninteresting way to score points. Don’t expect the NFL to introduce springboard-leap competition to its list of skill challenges at the next Pro Bowl. Rating: 4.5

IND@LV: Stepover
Vegas QB Derek Carr, in his seventh (of nine) seasons with the Raiders, scrambles left, heads toward the pylon, plants his right foot on the 1, then lands out of bounds with his left foot.
But he is ruled to have broken the plane when he cut the corner of the end zone, so he gets six. We, however, would call this a Nix Six. Rating: 4.5
