Week 5: 81 Touchdowns: 2 ATDs

HOU@BAL: Stuffed

Derrick Henry ordinarily runs like a human bulldozer, but here he is stood up short of the goal line. He never touches the end zone, and when he finally manages to extend the ball (barely) into the end zone’s airspace, the whistle had already blown. The play should have been ruled over at that point.

Naturally, none of that matters. An excellent defensive stop goes for naught, and Henry is gifted six points. Doesn’t seem right. Hocus Bogus Rating: 4.5

LV@IND: An end zone-free touchdown

The Colts’ Tyler Warren never makes contact with the end zone, as Raiders’ safety Jeremy Chinn (11) drives him out of bounds.

No matter. The break-the-plane rule effectively widens the end zone, allowing Warren to whoosh through end zone airspace, land out of bounds, and still get credit for a touchdown. This is a rule that makes a defender’s job even tougher. Hocus Bogus Rating: 4
